originally written 25 years ago in 2001 performed once at an open mic in Arizona... It was revised in September 2026 & is in honor of the First Responders, & memory of the fallen

The sad backstory of this composition is that it is personal & even more tragic because the details are real & I started writing this just a few weeks after 9/11 while on a plane from Phoenix to Boston for a conference... & to visit our son. This story touched our family greatly,.. & with an understanding that our world changed forever on that day... & "every one in America, knew someone who knew someone" My wife noted while I was practicing that perhaps I should not play this song as it was hard for me to get thru it without crying... our world has been crying since. Many of us understand everything, where we were exactly, & how the shocking news and images were 24/7. The current state of our world, is F O R E V E R changed. Many younger people were not born or old enough to remember. It has been estimated that 40% of younger Americans have no understanding of the history, what it meant, & means for all of us on a daily basis... (TSA/Security/Racism/Surveillance/fear/scapegoating/abuse of power/ entering wars that are based on ingorance arrogance/ blame/ & the death & suffering of innocent populations etc etc... This song presents one aspect of the 9/11 story... ie it really is a folk song that is almost too sad to have written or perform or to hear. But ithout history, as they say, we will repeat the errors, unless we know what happened. So this week 25 years later I stopped crying long to present this song. It will be ignored, as Another Tragedy was as algorhytihms

written a long, long time ago in the arizona desert. This photo was taken of the Sunset, December 4th, 2025, awaiting the supermoon to appear in the eastern sky.
Recorded/Mixed & Mastereby my dear friend Odie (for over a quarter century) @ ABCAT Recording Studio, Glendale Arizona, in this summer with additional tracks added, thruout, & finally ready; It has has just been submitted for release EVERYWHERE on 7/26/2026.
This is the first song recorded, among many to follow, that were written over the past decades that are one by one being arranged as I am working on a NEW ALBUM this year... which is within the traditions of Singer/Songwriter, Country, Bluegrass, & Americana genres.

Another Tragedy out as single...I've been recording a new singer singer/songwriter for the past few months so not playing out much lately

Nobody's Home was recorded with my Martin 0017 1956
age 14 purchased for $100 with rolls of quarters from my paper route from Noah Wolfe across from manny's in NYC.
I didn't have enough to buy a case so he gave me a padded paper back to take it home. The Year of the TIger & Desert Stories & songs on many albums were composed on this guitar & Songs from the Hacienda was composed & recorded on this guitar. Stories... (on L) Gibson 1965 Arch top & on (R) Webber Mandola to the sides. I have some instuments that are very precious to me... but if I could only have one... it would be my 0017.

Originally this song was written, in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon Bombing & Sandy Hook Tragedies. It was revised this last Summer and finally recorded and released on 12/19/2025. The photo was taken on the late evening before 9/11/2025. Thanks are expressed to Otis Francis of Abcat Studio, in Glendale, AZ for recording, mixing and mastering, and formatting the release. I just joined the Universe of Algorhythms known as Instagram, & am learning a lot from other artists, & a plethora of advisers on reels and videos, that if no one knows who I am, or that my music exists beyond the signpost on a lonely desert road, on a tiny corner of cyberspace on a server somewhere, that It does not matter whether a song or album or effort is good or not good... Just Sayin... & as that great philosopher Yoda once said "Do or do not... there is no try"
